STEVE JONES JOINS C4’s SEX BOX SERIES AS CO-HOST
- posted in: Television
Steve Jones is to join clinical sexologist Goedele Liekens as the co-host of the upcoming Channel 4 series, Sex Box. Together Jones and Liekens will engage the British public in an honest, frank and entertaining discussion about our sex lives
Building on the concept of the pilot episode which aired in 2013, the series aims to shed light on Britain’s sex lives and encourage couples to talk more openly about sex.
Each show will tell the story of couples wanting to try something new sexually for the first time. Jones and Liekens will be on hand to talk them through their sexual experiences in an informative and relatable way. Utilising the studio ‘sex box’, each episode will see real couples, keen to spice up their sex life, enter the box to have a sexual experience. They will then emerge to discuss what happened with Goedele and Steve in front of a studio audience, who will also talk candidly about their own sex lives.
Following specially commissioned research, Sex Box, a ClearStory production, will also discuss what Britain’s sexual desires and fantasies are, and how best to achieve them in a realistic and respectful manner. The series aims to help couples to understand one another’s needs, realise their sexual desires and ultimately have a more fulfilling sex life in 21st Century Britain.
Co-host Steve Jones said, “I’m delighted to be hosting Sex Box alongside the brilliant and straight talking Goedele Liekens. We plan to get the nation talking frankly and honestly about all things bedroom related, and hopefully helping them to have the best sex ever.”
The series has been commissioned by Liam Humphreys, Head of Factual Entertainment, Sarah Lazenby, Editor, Entertainment and Tina Flintoff, Commissioning Editor, Factual Entertainment. It is set to air on Channel 4 in the Spring.
